SCIENCE EXPERIMENT
SINK OR FLOAT

made from different materials
a small pumpkin eraser
a medium styrofoam pumpkin
a larger real pumpkin
I asked everyone to make a prediction
(a guess of what will happen)
*** to see your child's prediction
check Seesaw later today)
to understand what it means to float..
I put a leaf in the water
The small eraser SANK
The medium styrofoam pumpkin FLOATED
The real pumpkin... SANK
**** I was wondering if this would happen as it is
a smaller pumpkin and I guess so full
of PULP
**** So I told the kids that after chapel and recess we would
open the pumpkin up ... see whats inside and clean it out and then sees what happens
*** I also didn't tell the children I was
expecting the pumpkin to float
