VOTING

Class votes teach the children
so much about turn taking, listening
to others ideas and disappointment.
Sometimes your idea doesn't
win. Today we voted for a class color.
Nest week is Red Ribbon Week and Tuesday
is wear a class color.. I wrote out every color
that was in my marker pack and then
the children put their name next to the
color they wanted.

The color with the most votes

BLUE
If you have BLUE, please
wear it next Tuesday

STORY TIME
After we read the story,

we talked about how everyone feels

angry, frustrated, etc...

I showed the children this calming jar/bottle

It is filled with colored water, glitter, etc...

I told the children whenever they are feeling angry,

disappointed, frustrated, etc.. they can come get the

calming jar...find a comfortable area to sit
and shake it.... and as the glitter/sequins
settles back down practice BELLY BREATHES
Breathe in through your nose
out through your mouth
When you are blowing out....
blow out ALL the anger
frustrations, disappointment
etc...
The children were all very
interested
some even made one
as soon as it was center time

Jace was snack weather
